  1. When preparing the canvas with gesso, is it watered down as it is so thick... love the background noise of the cockerel x

  2. Awesome work John. Might i ask, what colours are you using? I tried this using basics from liquitex, and they just are almost always transparent, so i cant paint over it.

  3. Thank you John for another wonderful video. question: why do you add white to every mixture of color you make other than to lighten it?

    1. +Joy Pittura, I thought the reason for adding white to most mixture as you paint is to ensure that the value in color in the overall painting harmonises. Don't understand what you mean by color being opaque. I wish Mr lisondra could help with my question.

    2. I only add white to lighten the colors and to change the values. Color value is really an important aspect in painting realism. You need to adjust it little by little in order to make difference from one object to another. Like when I make distant mountains, farther mountains should be lighter compare to the nearer ones. But on my background colors. I always make it dark..

    3. +John magne Lisondra (JMLisondra), that was what I thought, John. you have answered my question. Thank you again for the video tutorial.

  4. Very nice painting John.  I have a question for you.  Can we start an acrylic painting and finish it the day after?

  5. Can you do a pine forest painting? I want to see how you do the pine leaves. Thank you. This is soledad
