  1. I've got a question; you may have answered this to someone else before but do you use gesso on your canvases before you start your tutorials?

  2. Very beautiful painting I love it.I have a question I want to start with paintings and I'm 14 years old and I don't now wich paper to use or Brushes and I can't buy to expansive canvases or Brushes I need help please🙏

    1. Junky_ Jack89. Hi, I too love to paint. Here are some of the things I do my self to save money on supplies. I google Michael's coupons on my phone they almost always have a 40% off any one reg. priced item everyday. I always check the clearance section in both Michaels and Hobbie Lobby. They had their canvases on sell here lately 4-5 different sizes and you get many of them for 10.00. I bought size 16x20 got 5 for that price. But can get more canvases if you get smaller sizes these are at Michaels they also have Artist Loft (brand name) fluid acrylics 1oz. there that are really amazing and they are .99 cents The fluid acrylics go much further and blend very well and colors stay bright without having to add alot of water to blend. When you buy at Michaels give them a email address and they will give you some even better coupons 50% - 60% off and they let you know 1st about a sale on supplies. Craft Smart(brand name) is also great its .79 cents at Michaels too. You get 2oz. make sure you only get your primary colors like John that way you can learn to mix any colors. He has some good videos on mixing colors as well. Hope this helps I know its saved me alot. Happy Painting☺

    2. Junky_ Jack89 ps. you will find mark down brushes and acrylic/watercolor papers in the clearance section as well at both Michaels and Hobbie lobby. Always Always check these sections at the stores. I have found so many supplies there. Good luck.

You can get a watercolor pad if you don't want it to curl up, too much. If you're just starting out you may choose to get a multimedia tablet or pad. It wrinkles up a little or curls, I should say; but that's what I get for practicing on and then I do have a canvas pad that didn't cause too much and it isn't on stretched wood. If you get real cheap paint, you may not like it. You can get it primary blue primary yellow and primary red and just some black and white of liquitex basics and they don't cost too much especially the student grade. But I get just the basics. With those five colors you can learn to mix and get what ever color you want on the color wheel; what you can find numerous videos on the color wheel. You can also look up images of the color wheel. And then you learn to mix and get more colors than what are on the color wheel. These are only suggestions but I would listen more to what John says because he's been painting a lot longer than I have. I started in February and I am really enjoying it. I wish I had started when I was your age. So, I surely hope you can get what you need. On the brushes, you do not have to buy expensive brushes. But you do want to get like the flat brush Bright brush round brush and the filbert brush. You can get a nice pack of brushes at hobby lobby. Keep checking there for when they have a sale. Or just get a couple of a time when they're on sale. See what John says, though. Good luck; I sure hope you can start learning now and keep at it; don't give up; because with each new painting you will see Improvements. I promise. Don't think you should be starting out with a masterpiece. You can do this, just keep practising at least one hour a day or longer if you are enjoying it. Keep us posted. Ok?

    4. Cool, I'm going to get some tagboard and hardboard. I do a lot of practicing. LOL I've got a ways to go. I've finally did some clouds that are better but even have a ways to go on them.

  3. Do you have a page to post? I'd love to see how everyone else turns out to you are extremely talented and I just love and have learned a lot from you, still a beginner and sometimes isn't turn out great,
