I do not know if this would interest you. Some artists work on a colored ground. I even read a suggestion by Mark Waller to paint the whole thing red if the painting is going to be on the green side. I am telling you this because I once painted the canvas all red and when I started painting I felt a certain thrill which I had never felt before. If you care to try it you may feel the same way.
