  1. Beautiful painting John with a great utorial, I had not seen this one before and still I am learning from you, as I do in every video.Thank You.

  2. What kind of painting pallet are you using, and seems like acrylic paints dry out fast. What can you use to help it last longer? Do you use a Retarder or something to help the paint not to dry out so quickly.  Love watching your paint. I gat the City Lights a try, but are not the same colors because I don't have all the paints you used, but still came out nice. I received quite a few compliments on the painting I did for the City Lights Painting I did from others I shared it with.  Thank you!   I am just barely beginning to paint so have to learn how to blend the paint so it looks smooth and also so the colors will come out the same close to what the Artists shows. Thank you for having tutorials so we can all learn from Artists' like you. Have a wonderful day!

  3. “Follow and enjoy the moment!”
I think that will be my new mantra for the year! 2019
Am doing a sea scene, including a rocky edge and started in blocking, then got stuck.
Then this thought came to me, “JM will know what to do! “
    Whew!
Also, thanks for encouraging us to create our own art work. I usually try to make it my own even if following a video.
One person, who shall remain nameless, who does tutorials complained about people selling the art work they did with the tutorials. I stopped following that person because I thought that was really arrogant. Mainly because no one will do them exactly like that person. If you looked at the paintings I do with you, you would never know that it was the same painting, because it’s not. I change up things, add some things take a technique or two and use it for some other painting.
I learn from many sources, and different teachers, and make up some of my own stuff. It’s all good , but I am not trying to rip anyone off. I don’t think most of us here are trying to copy and sell. We want to learn some good techniques and find our own style.
There’s enough love, money and buyers for everyone. No need for fear.
    Thanks for being here! 😇
    Shalom from SC, USA

    1. hello Trisha... thank you very much for this comment... Yes, I actually encourage everyone to make their own, doing that they can discover the uniqueness of their style. My tutorials were just guides and for learning also. And for me it's fine if someone is selling their works copied from my tutorials. They can do whatever they want, sell it or even give it away, it's their works now. And I can't actually control it. Thank you for opening this kind of issue Trisha... 🙂 God bless you and have a good day 🙂

  4. You are a brilliant teacher. This is helping. Please teach how to do clean, transperant underwater stones top view.
