  1. Great picture and very beautiful as usual. Thanks very much for posting all these pictures. May I make a suggestion? If you take a thin brush and paint a cast shadow where the flower and the leaves come in front of the face I think they would come out even more. The shadow need not be very wide - just enough to show that there is a distance between the leaves/flowers and that the face is behind. Hope you find this suggestion helpful. Make no mistake - I have learnt a lot from you and I am delighted that you keep posting these tutorials. Thumbs up friend

    1. I am very glad you took it that way. I can promise you, you helped me a lot. Very very glad I have been of help.

  2. Awesome.. will try it soon, if you could plz share the reference photo as well, it'll help us to understand the transformation of color... from real to painting

    1. Thanks so much John, if it’s possible, one day,can you show us how to paint from a photo to true likeness .What to look at to get the exact likeness. Thank you very much.

    2. DEBASISH SAHU thq for ur suggestion. However, I’m looking for john’s explanation showing us the reference pic during painting so we understand the process better and can apply those skills to paint any photo. I’m hoping to paint my children one day 🙂

  3. I am a cosmetican. What is the purpose of painting such dark blocks of colors. This is in contrast to how we are taught to apply color.
