Beautiful painting John, great tutorial. I have watched how you mix your paints very carefully, but I still get too much paint on my brushes, it doesn't matter how careful I am, I seem to overload with paint.
I can tell you that it takes practice and reputation, the more you have your heart and soul into the time and space then it will come natural. It's really the best part about art is you can go there without ever leaving your room. That's when you won't even be thinking about howmuch paint is on your brush lol. Time my friend, time.
We don't have to go back into our own way to the point that we are not going through the process of making the decision and doing it
Hi JM I just noticed your videos on acrylic painting today and I'm so glad to see this new one today August 30, 2017! I love going to beaches with palm trees so I hope to be able to paint a scene like the one on your video. Thank you.

you're very much welcome 🙂
Since the sky is wet in wet, would the process be similar with oil painting John?
So glad I found you. I loved painting this! Mine didnt turn out the exact same but I feel like my color mixing skills got a work out and I appreciate you sharing!
awesome!
lindo 👏👏👏👏👏
Can you tell me what kind of canvas you use it really accepts the paint so well my canvas is so rough even after 2-3 coats of gesso what can I do John?
I just use the canvas I bought at store... make sure you sand it after 2 coats then 1 more final coat.. it will make the surface smoother
Marje Macmillan John is right. Sand your canvas with fine sandpaper if it's already been gessoed and bought from an art shop. If making your own do three coats of gesso then fine sand it. It makes the canvas a lot smother and it's not so hard on your good brushes either.
