  1. I’m actually a beginner in painting and Im introducing myself to landscapes but kinda didn’t get about highlights and shadows... Muchas gracias por el tutorial, la verdad es q he aprendido mucho☺️🙏🏽

  2. Once again, another awesome lesson! I would laugh at the person that says you have your shadows in the wrong place. They obviously don't understand art , but to question the awesomeness of your paintings? I call that insane! John, you are so awesome I wouldn't even worry about what others say about your work. But once again I totally appreciate your lessons!! They teach me so much. Thanks again John for sharing your spectacular work!!

  3. not seen it yet...but if it is of the same standard as the others I know that I will enjoy, learn and be impressed as to how easy you make it look..I am in my 60's and trying to learn painting from scratch with no drawing skills at all. Thx

    1. so far.. all i know is that there is only one type of gesso.. not sure yet if there are others. you can use it to prime the canvas and to create textures for the painting.

  4. Excellent job of describing and showing the difference between shadowing an object and highlighting it. Great job on light sources and light colors and your blending of these light source colors A+ my friend. That is always my first decision in a painting where is the light source coming from. I still use shapes like triangle's, sphere's and cylinder shapes to warm up on before I paint, just to get in the grove. Love your video's. Thanks

  5. You are my go-to art teacher. 🙂 You're voice relaxes me, and I am learning a lot. Im going to the basic, basics because I think that is what is holding me back as an artist. I need to learn the little tricks so my painting stop looking flat. Thank you for your videos!
