Heads up Dollar Tree stores right now have unpainted wood signs that's a large leaf and "Hello Autumn" on it. This tutorial's perfect for this!
John as a fairly new painter I so appreciate your detailed tutorials. I find it refreshing and helpful to see a seasoned artist let us see his not quite perfect drawing and then learn how to see what is wrong and how to correct it. That is more useful to me than if the leaf drawing had just shown up perfect.

You have a pleasant way to give instructions. The colors were lovely and it was a pleasure to watch the leaf come to life. I'd recommend 2 things: for a beginner, I don't know what you are doing when you "wet" the paint. Also, good idea to do some research about what you are painting so you are using the correct terms; for example, for the parts of the leaf. As a teacher, you are the expert in the room! π
