Oil Paint Colors:
Titanium white
Phthalo Blue / French Ultramarine / Primary blue
Cadmium Red / Brilliant Red
Cadmium Yellow / Primary Yellow / Lemon Yellow
Burnt Umber
Brands: Winton Oil Color, Talens Oil Color, Louvre Oil Color, Grumbacher Oil
Brushes:
Natural Bristles, Filbert Brush Nylons or Synthetic
Palette Knife, smaller is better.
Mediums:
Linseed Oil and Turpentine
You can mix turpentine with Linseed to make it as medium.
It will make oil paints dry faster
Gesso as primer

The thing about portraits, or any subject for that matter, is that they have to evolve. When they get to that βin-betweenβ awkward stage where you have to push through because you find yourself wondering if it will ever look like you want it to. Perseverance brings the masterpiece π. Have you painted any portraits using Golden Open Acrylics? They dry slower, so I wonder if they are more easy to blend for portraits. Currently, I am painting wildlife in acrylics with Chroma Atelier Interactive.
